Town Hall Recap – May 2026
More than 115 people gathered in the Hub for Sunday’s Town Hall to celebrate, hear updates from our Elders, and engage in conversation about this season at Bethel. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed thoughtful questions and discussion.
It’s Time to Be a Blessing
Brenda Carpenter doesn’t remember a time when generosity wasn’t part of her life, but she does remember how it felt. She grew up in a home where love was something you lived and not just something you talked about. Her parents raised her and her siblings to know the...
Learning to Slow Down and Sit in Scripture
For Ben Rutledge, it started with a desire to do more for God. A few years ago, after attending a retreat, something shifted for him. “I just had this strong sense of wanting to share the gospel,” he said. “I was like, ‘Okay, I need to become a pastor.’” So he did...
Different Starting Points, One Shared Faith
At Bethel, our values reflect who we are becoming as disciples centered on Jesus.
For Abraham Torres, faith was never the problem. He had always believed in God. But growing up, church never really connected. It took an invitation into an open setting with other people for him to realize he wasn’t alone in his questions. Through this diverse group, having weekly discussions, and centering themselves around Jesus, Abraham was able to understand the love of God in a whole new way.
Finding Community in the Middle of the Unknown
We pursue authentic relationships with God and others because it’s what Jesus modeled and where life truly flourishes. When Jennifer Jones moved to the Tri-Cities, she wasn’t just looking for a church. She was looking for a place where she could belong, and where the kids who might pass through her home could belong too. Her story shows the impact real relationships can have in our lives.
When Following Jesus Doesn’t Get Easier
For Brent Hampson, that journey hasn’t looked the way he expected. His story is full of ups, downs, and unexpected directions. Brent’s story demonstrates how following Jesus isn’t about arriving. It’s about being formed. Slowly, daily, often in ways we wouldn’t choose, until our lives begin to reflect Him more and more.
A Strong Start: Spring Bible Studies Are Underway
This week, we kicked off our Spring Bible Studies, with men and women gathering across multiple environments to open God’s Word, build relationships, and take meaningful steps in their faith.
Across both studies, there was a shared sense of anticipation and openness, people showing up from different backgrounds, life stages, and stories, all stepping into something deeper together. It’s a reminder that formation doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens in community.
Being Bethel – Sermon Series
Bethel means “house of God,” and the church is a family learning to live together in that house. In this series, Being Bethel, we are exploring the values that shape our life together and define the kind of family we are becoming. These values are not just things we say, but ways we follow Jesus, grow together, and live out His mission in everyday life.
Easter at Bethel – 2026
Thank you for joining us this Easter Weekend. From our reflective Good Friday service to the hope-filled music and message on Easter morning to the fun games, snacks, and beautiful weather – it was a wonderful celebration.
Dave Dawson – Staff Update
This past Sunday, Dave shared a personal update with our Bethel family.
After several months of prayer and discernment, Dave has decided that this is the right time for him to step off staff. While this marks a transition in his role, Dave will continue serving on our preaching team and as a Bethel Elder, remaining deeply engaged in the leadership and spiritual direction of our church.
Taking Care Of Our Space
Thank you for helping clean up and take care of our grounds!
What Happened?
We had about 30 people show up on Saturday morning to help clean up the outside of the church and make it look welcoming for Easter.
The Power of a Simple Invitation
Most people don’t visit a church for the first time because of a website, an ad, or a social post. They come because someone they trust invited them.
At Bethel, we believe a simple invitation can open the door for someone to experience hope, community, and the life-changing love of Jesus.
So who might God be placing on your heart?
