Grow as a Leader at Bethel Summit 2025

The Bethel Summit is our annual gathering for everyone who leads and serves at Bethel—a powerful morning of worship, connection, and vision.

Why the Summit?

This Year's Theme

This year, we’re focusing on one of our core values: Generous Lives.

It’s a celebration of how we reflect God’s generosity in the way we give our time, talents, and treasure. It’s also a call to live open-handedly, trusting that God uses what we offer for His kingdom purposes. Whether you’ve been serving for years or you’re just getting started, this morning is designed for you—to worship, learn, connect, and be reminded that we are not alone. We’re leading together, on mission.

Four Breakout Sessions to Inspire and Equip You

This year’s Summit features four unique breakout sessions, each designed to help you grow as a leader and follower of Jesus. Each one explores a different expression of generosity—how we give our time, our talents, our resources, and our hearts.

Session Topics

1. The Interruptible Life

Led by Andrea Riggs & Simon Hart

When life moves too fast, generosity with our time can feel impossible. But Jesus modeled a slower, more intentional rhythm—one that made space for people and divine interruptions. In this breakout, you’ll discover how to trade busyness for a life marked by God’s presence, true generosity, and the freedom to be interruptible.

2. God’s Will in Your Wallet

Led by John Thornton

What does Jesus say about money, generosity, and wisdom? In this session, we’ll explore the surprising connection between wisdom and wealth, the “Giving Paradox,” and how applying Jesus’ “Friends Test” can transform how we think about finances. If you’ve ever wondered how your money fits into God’s mission, this breakout is for you.

3. Three Deceptions of Generosity — Are They Holding Us Back?

Led by Garry & Hannah Miles

Sometimes what we believe about generosity can hold us back from experiencing its fullness. In this breakout, we’ll confront three common misconceptions that keep us stuck in shallow giving—and rediscover God’s deeper, life-changing vision for generosity. You’ll leave with practical ways to use your unique talents for His lasting purpose.

4. Love Your Actual Neighbor

Led by Rachal Carr & Sarah Landon

What if generosity started right next door? This session will challenge and inspire you to reflect God’s generosity through neighboring: slowing down, noticing, and engaging with the people around you. Imagine what God could do in our communities if we each took Jesus’ command to “love your neighbor” literally.
