Maria Njeim - Communications Director
We’re excited to welcome Maria Njeim to the Bethel staff as our new Communications Director.
Maria and her family recently moved to Richland from Morgantown, West Virginia, and are looking forward to putting down roots and becoming involved in the Bethel family.
Maria brings more than 13 years of strategic communications experience in international organizations, higher education, and nonprofit work. She holds a master’s degree in Strategic Communication from Washington State University, and her experience includes websites, social media, video, photography, graphic design, email, digital campaigns, and communication strategy.
Throughout her career, Maria has used those skills to help mission-driven organizations share their work in clear and meaningful ways. She previously led communications for UNESCO across seven countries and served as Communications Director at The Arc, where she helped connect diverse audiences with important stories and opportunities.
Maria is especially excited about this opportunity to use communication to serve the Church—telling stories of what God is doing, inviting people into community, and helping them take their next step with Jesus. She believes communication is about more than sharing information; it can help people feel welcomed, connected, and invited into the life of the church.
