Outreach Focus of the Month – FFHM

foundation for his ministry (FFHM)

With multiple locations and ministries in Mexico, FFHM makes disciples of Jesus Christ by rescuing children, reaching the lost, and restoring the broken.

“For over 55 years His Ministry has focused on making disciples in Mexico by providing a safe place for children to grow and flourish and introducing people in the communities we serve to the hope found in Christ.” – ffhm.org/vision.

OUR PARTNERSHIP

As Bethel GO Partner since 2016, it’s possible you may have heard of Foundation For His Ministry (FFHM) before. We typically send 1-3 GO Teams to their Oaxaca location, but we have also had teams serve at their home base in Baja. As a church, we also send monthly financial support and have given to some special needs through the years. Janelle Keller, FFHM’s Executive Director, was able to join us for the very first GlobalFest here in 2022.

PRAY

Our Global Outreach ministry reached out to FFHM, to see what current needs they have that Bethel could be praying for and this is what they shared:

^

WISDOM FOR OUR FUTURE

To know how to love children well; we want to start a foster care program so we need lots of wisdom and favor with the Mexican government

^

PLACEMENT + PROVISION

That God would make it obvious who the missionaries should be who will serve the unreached in Oaxaca; we are currently in 4 areas and have 4 more areas to cover

^

HEALING

For healing for all of the people we serve – children in the homes, men who have struggled with addiction at the Ranch and at Rafa’s House, the kids in our daycare in Baja and our community center in Sinaloa.

GIVE

Gifts given to further the ministries of the church are often one overlooked form of worship. You can choose to give regularly through Bethel, or directly on FFHM’s website.

GO SERVE

^

SEE GOD WORK

The main reason is that God is visibly at work in the ministry, so by being involved you have a chance to see God at work firsthand. God has a special place in His heart for widows and orphans. So when we serve them, we experience God in new ways.

You could think of Mexico as our (the US) version of Samaria. So when we think about fulfilling the Great Commission we have a chance to do this with our neighbor to the south.

GLOBAL OUTREACH

God sees the big picture and has a big plan, and we have a part to play in it. We believe our part to play in His plan is in three key areas: global partnerships, global missionaries, and “GO” trips. For more information about this, subscribe to the Global Outreach Newsletter.
