We have two exciting staffing updates to share with you. Read below to learn about the two positions that were recently filled.

Jonathan Sederburg - Youth Director

We’re excited to share that Bethel has officially offered the Youth Director role to Jonathan Sederburg, and he has accepted. After a weekend of connecting with staff, leaders, students, and families, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive.

Jonathan grew up here at Bethel, and it was encouraging to see how naturally he stepped back into relationship with our church family. Throughout the weekend, he consistently embodied our values of The Journey, Real Relationships, and Sacred Rhythms, the way he listened to students, partnered with leaders, and shared about his own walk with Jesus reflected a genuine shepherd’s heart.

Jonathan brings strong gifts in leadership and discipleship, along with a deep passion for investing in students. In this role, he’ll partner closely with Jared, our Next Gen Director, to equip and support the teams who serve our students, strengthening small groups, developing teachers, and building a healthy, discipleship-driven ministry. We anticipate an early-January start date.

Please join us in welcoming Jonathan and his family, and thank you for your prayers and support throughout the search process.

Jacob Thiel - Worship Director

We’re excited to share that Bethel has officially offered the Worship Director role to Jacob Thiel, and he has accepted! After several weeks of interviews with staff and leaders, along with opportunities to lead our congregation in worship, there was a clear and enthusiastic consensus around Jacob’s gifting and fit for this role.

Jacob brings extensive experience in leading worship, a deep love for the local church, and a steady, invitational presence that helps draw people into worship. His heart for discipleship and his desire to see every square inch shaped by worship align clearly with Bethel’s mission and values.

In this role, Jacob will report directly to Pastor Adam and collaborate closely with the Sunday Service team, led by Josh Hawes. He will begin some initial onboarding and behind-the-scenes work in December, and you can expect to see him leading worship in early January.

Let’s extend a warm Bethel welcome to Jacob and his family, and thank you for your faithful prayers throughout the search.
