Have You Noticed?

If you’ve walked through our building recently, you may have noticed some changes! Several spaces are getting a fresh look with new paint, flooring, and updated design touches. While these updates brighten the building, their real purpose is deeper—to create places where people feel welcome and where discipleship can grow.

We are so thankful for the many volunteers who made this possible:

  • On Saturday, August 30, a hardworking crew pulled carpet in the rooms above the Hub and in the View Rooms—saving the church nearly $10,000.
  • In the Hospitality Room:
    • Ray Umlauf designed and rebuilt the kitchen and coffee area.
    • Doug Hamrick, Earle Kennell, and Wendell Greenwald rolled up their sleeves to remove carpet, scrape glue, and install the new flooring
    • Bianca Simoneaux contributed creative vision and design ideas.
    • Kristal and Shane Enos have been key in setup and placement.
  • And a very special thanks to Jeff Stevenson, our Facilities Deacon, who has faithfully led and helped at every step of these projects.

Much of the carpet being replaced was original to the building and had become a tripping hazard. These projects were already on our Capital Improvements list, and it’s encouraging to see them becoming reality.

Our prayer is simple: that even updates like carpet and paint would become tools in God’s hands—welcoming people in, building community, and creating environments where discipleship can thrive.
