Celebrating Summer Together: All Things New

Celebrating the AUG 7 event for women!

The Event

Women gathered for an evening of connection, encouragement, and creativity. The room was full of laughter and conversation as women enjoyed fresh berry shortcakes for dessert. Cari Johnson shared a heartfelt message on God’s continual invitation to embrace the new work He’s doing in our lives—reminding us that He’s shaping, sustaining, and guiding us in ways we might not yet see. We also enjoyed a hands-on watercolor tutorial by Holly Hawes, where we got to practice painting our own watercolor flower. There was space to relax, create, and connect with both old friends and new ones.

What Happened

God used the event to bring women into a space of joy, rest, and connection. Through Cari’s message, many were reminded that God is always at work—renewing hearts, guiding steps, and writing stories far bigger than what we can see. Conversations at tables, laughter over dessert, and the fun of painting watercolor flowers gave women room to slow down, and connect with friends. Many left encouraged, carrying fresh hope and a renewed awareness that their journey is part of something beautiful—and that God’s not finished yet.

Celebration

We’re celebrating Summer Together as a beautiful expression of Bethel’s heart to love God, love others, and make disciples. Women of all ages gathered to embrace The Journey God has each of us on—hearing from Cari Johnson about His continual work to make all things new. Over dessert and watercolor painting, women built Real Relationships, catching up with old friends and meeting new ones in a spirit of Diverse Unity across generations and life stages. We witnessed Generous Lives in action—from the many volunteers who served with joy to women who warmly welcomed others into community. The night was a reminder that God is at work in our stories and in our church family, and we’re excited to see how the seeds planted will continue to grow.
