Baptism
Ready to take the next step in your faith?
Baptism is an exciting way to publicly declare your faith and celebrate what God has done in your life. Whether you’re being baptized as an adult or celebrating with your child, we’d love to walk alongside you. Learn more about baptism at Bethel below.
Adults
If you are a follower of Jesus and are ready to take the step of baptism, we'd love to connect with you. We joyfully celebrate stories of transformation through baptism every quarter during our services. If you're interested in getting baptized, please complete this form and we will follow up with you to discuss this exciting step in your faith journey. If you have any additional questions, you can email baptism@bethel.ch.
Kids and Youth
We believe baptism is a significant milestone for young people, and we're committed to walking alongside families during this important decision. Each age group has tailored support to ensure your child is ready and excited about this step of faith.
Kids
Bethel Kids Ministry offers a two-week baptism class that partners with parents to disciple their kids through this milestone. Together you’ll learn what baptism is, why it matters, and how it fits into ongoing family discipleship. See upcoming dates below, and email kids@bethel.ch with any questions.
MiddleSchool
If your middle school student is curious about baptism or interested in being baptized, please email middleschool@bethel.ch. They’ll be invited to attend a class prior to the baptism weekend.
High School
If your high school student would like to take the step of baptism, please email highschool@bethel.ch or connect directly with his/her High School leader.
What Is baptism?
Baptism is a public declaration of your faith and decision to follow Jesus. But more than that, baptism is a visible sign of the new life we receive in Christ through his grace. In baptism, we participate in Jesus’ death and resurrection: dying to sin and being raised to new life. (Romans 6:4)
Who Should Get Baptized?
Baptism is for believers - those who have repented and placed their faith in Jesus Christ.
When and Where Will I Get Baptized?
We love celebrating baptisms together as a church family! They’re scheduled about once a quarter and typically take place near the end of each worship service.
Do I Need to Take A Class Before Getting Baptized?
No class is required before baptism, but after you submit your baptism form, someone will meet with you to walk through the meaning of baptism. Additionally, there’s an information meeting two weeks before your baptism to go over the details for the day - when to arrive, where to sit, and what to expect.
Who will baptize me?
Typically a pastor or elder will baptize you.
