In Case You Missed It: June Town Hall Highlights

Sunday’s Town Hall was a meaningful time for our church family to gather, celebrate, and hear more about what God is doing at Bethel. Over 100 of us came together to reflect on this season, engage in open dialogue, and participate in a live Q&A hosted by our Elders.
Here’s a snapshot of the topics they covered:

Deacon + Elder Updates

  • New Church Facilities Deacon Nomination
Jeff Stevenson is being presented as a candidate for Church Facilities Deacon. This new role will support the Operations Director in keeping Bethel’s facilities safe, functional, and welcoming—while also helping coordinate volunteer teams for maintenance and projects. After hearing consistent affirmation from staff and congregation members, and from our own experience with him, the Elder Board is united in presenting Jeff as a candidate.

  • Bethel Elder Nomination
Steven Wallace is being presented as a candidate for Bethel Elder. Our Elders are entrusted with providing spiritual guidance and direction for Bethel Church. After a thorough vetting process and much prayer, the Elder Board is united in presenting Steven as the newest member of the team.

Staffing updates

We’re excited to welcome Garry Miles as Bethel’s new Outreach Director. Garry and his wife, Hannah, are moving here from Hurricane, Utah, with their four kids—Holland (13), Wakely (11), Cohen (9), and Seren (6). Garry brings deep ministry experience, strategic thinking, and a genuine heart for people—both inside and outside the church.

Operating Budget

The Elders walked us through the proposed operating budget for 2025–2026, as well as the state of our Capital Reserve Fund.

Land Sale Payment

The Elders shared that the payment from the Richland land sale has been received. A proposed plan for using those funds was presented, and members will vote on that plan at the Annual Family Business Meeting.

Q&A

The evening closed with a live Q&A, where the Elders answered questions submitted by those in attendance. It was a wonderful opportunity to share more details, listen to feedback, and connect as a church family.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS

Thank you to everyone who joined us! Mark your calendars—our Annual Family Business Meeting is Sunday, June 22 at 4:00P. All voting items will be emailed to members ahead of time.
