OUTREACH FOCUS - world relief
For the last 35 years, World Relief Tri-Cities has joined with volunteers, local churches and other community organizations to serve 1300 forced-migrated refugees annually across various programs of resettlement, acquisition of employment, language-learning and ultimately citizenship. They are the few – only about 0.1%, of the 130 million globally presently displaced from their home countries, who make it to the USA each year.
“If you’re like us, you believe that everyone deserves safety and security, a place to call home. And you want to do something to help. The good thing is, you can.” – worldrelief.org/tricities
OUR PARTNERSHIP
Bethel Church’s support has been instrumental in empowering World Relief Tri-Cities to fulfill its mission of serving the most vulnerable. In addition to financial contributions, Bethel Church encourages our members to engage in various volunteer opportunities with World Relief, such as mentoring individuals or families, tutoring, teaching English classes, providing transportation, and utilizing their skills and gifts to support refugees and immigrants.
This longstanding partnership exemplifies a shared commitment to creating a welcoming community and providing practical assistance to new neighbors in the Tri-Cities area.

MORE ABOUT
LOCAL OUTREACH
Our Local Outreach ministry is dedicated to joining Jesus in His mission to redeem those around us through care, compassion, and service. By building bridges within our local community, partnering with local agencies, and equipping our congregation, we aim to demonstrate the love and compassion of Jesus to our broken and hurting community. We encourage everyone to reflect on how God is calling them to serve their neighbors. More about Local Outreach here.
HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?
PRAY
Christlike Service
That the staff and volunteers of World Relief Tri-Cities would truly represent Christ in their service to all refugees residing in and arriving at the Tri-Cities community, demonstrating compassion, respect, and dignity.
Engaging the Church
That God would move in the hearts of His people within the local church community, inspiring them to build relationships with individuals from different cultures and languages, recognizing each person as created in the image of God.
Informed Governance
That government leaders would gain insight and awareness regarding the distinctions between documented and undocumented immigrants seeking asylum, understanding the minimal risk and significant benefits of funding and supporting vetted refugees who are often fleeing discrimination and persecution.
give
Financial gifts will always contribute towards the growth and stabilization of refugees placed into our care; allowing our staff to meet the emergency and on-going needs of vulnerable individuals and families. Gifts-in-kind donations are ways to help set-up an apartment for those arriving; providing winter clothing to those coming directly from arid climates, and gift cards for refugees to be able to purchase foods of some ethnic familiarity.
Gifts given to further the ministries of the church are often one overlooked form of worship. You can choose to give regularly through Bethel, or directly on their
website.
