Pastor Adam shared a significant proposal from the Bethel Elders, which is scheduled for a vote by Bethel members.
As you may recall, the sale of the undeveloped portion of the Richland land was recently finalized (for a sum of 2.2 million dollars). We have already received an initial payment of 1.5 million dollars, and will receive quarterly interest payments of 6% until the final installment in March 2025.
In response to God’s abundant provision, the Bethel Elders propose that we give a generous portion of it back to God. The proposal is to give 20% of the land sale proceeds received to date, amounting to $300,000 (a 10% tithe with an additional 10% gift). This is a tangible expression of our gratitude and obedience to God’s calling to support both our global and local outreach partners. It also aligns with our commitment to be generous and faithful stewards of the resources entrusted to us, both as individuals and as a congregation.
The vote to approve this tithe will take place after each service at the Richland and Prosser campuses on December 3, 2023. We encourage all Bethel members to attend and vote.
